A HAND UP IN DIFFICULT TIMES
Welcome! In the spirit of the biblical benefactor, a few of the churches of Crystal Lake, Illinois in 1991 established the Good Samaritan Ministry, a non-profit, benevolent organization dedicated to helping Crystal Lake residents who are experiencing short term financial difficulties and facing loss of living necessities.
In office space donated by Bethany Lutheran Church at 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave. in Crystal Lake, volunteers work Monday and Friday 9am to 11am interviewing clients, verifying needs and providing assistance when appropriate. Service is fast and efficient but does require an appointment. 98% OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN BUDGET GOES DIRECTLY TO FULFILLING CLIENT NEEDS.
