Our mission objective is to aid those who are less fortunate. We are dedicated to creating tools and services to help the less fortunate get back on their feet and start more productive, more joyful lives. 98% of the Good Samaritan budget goes directly to fulfilling client needs.  Service is fast and efficient but requires an appointment. The client comes to our office, completes an application, and details his or her specific need.  The volunteers on duty review the application and collect necessary supporting documents.  Having determined that the request for help is legitimate, in most cases the decision is made that day as to how much assistance can be given.

Historically, the largest part of monies paid out is for delinquent rent and utilities bills.  Our intervention often has prevented clients' evictions from their homes and avoided utility turnoffs.  Additionally, help may be given for the purchase of items such as medical supplies, car insurance or gasoline when needed for doctor's visits or the search for employment.
